A 100,000 Mile Odyssey
By Blake Purcell
In total, more than 100,000 miles covered.
Last spring we began to dream about the opportunity for the above pastors to travel to America and participate in a church council meeting and missions conference but it seemed just that, a dream. We coveted the opportunity for our pastors to meet other mature pastors and to visit churches and families who take the Word of God seriously.
To be honest it took a lot more work than we ever imagined.
But God blessed - for some of these pastors it was the first time in their lives to witness Sabbath feasts, homeschooling and Christian schooling, and meet with Christian businessmen. Along the way they sailed, kayaked, hiked and shot trap.
Pastor Eduard Ivanov of the Far East preached this sermon in Oregon. It is a poignant reminder of God's power in dark places:

"Enlarge the place of your tent and let the curtains of your habitations be stretched out; hold not back lengthen your cord and strengthen your stakes." Isaiah 54
Over the next few weeks we will be sending out vignettes from these 100,000 miles.
In the Joy of the Holy Spirit,
