Last Tuesday was my first back at our churches men's study. Pictured here are the two elders, closest to you is Sasha Александр Фирсанов, whose son Vanya is probably our first semi-homeschooler.
Vanya is in what is called "extern" program where he follows the government curriculum and homework at home, and then goes and meets with teachers at a private school who check his work. This is the closest to homeschooling anyone from our churches has come to that I know of.
The young man on the couch is Pavlik, who this week starts the same program with his younger sister, Alina. They are Vlad's (sitting left of me) children, so soon we will have 3 children in our church who are not in government schools and not around bad behavior all day long.
I do not despise the day of small things. This is a big deal wrapped up in a little package!
Pray for Pavlik's and Alina's transition to a school were mamma is the principal, and dad is the chairman of the board!
